How can I get my reviewers' email addresses?

We understand the importance of growing your mailing list, and we make this process seamless on BookSirens, while being reader friendly. You can collect readers' emails in three ways:

  1. When a reader leaves a review
  2. When a reader downloads your ARC
  3. When a reader views your author profile

You can access these email addresses via downloading a CSV file.

  1. Go to your authors.
  2. Click the author name you're interested in or click View.
  3. You'll then see a Download Subscriber Emails button. This should download a CSV file which you can then import into your mailing list provider (ex. MailerLite, Mailchimp, etc...).

When a reader leaves a review

If any reader leaves a 4+ star review for your book, we encourage them to share their email address with you and follow you on BookSirens. This feature is turned on by default.

When a reader downloads your ARC

For readers you invite to read your ARC, you have the option of requiring them to agree to join your mailing list before they can get your ARC. This option is turned off by default. Moreover, this option is only available for readers you invite, not readers we find for you.

To turn this feature on, go to your books. Then:

  1. Click Edit for the book in question.
  2. Click the Readers tab.
  3. If you see a Reader You Invite tab, click that.
  4. Find the section of the form which says Require Joining Mailing List?
  5. Set it to Yes.
  6. Click Update for changes to take effect.

When a reader views your author profile

You can add a link to your newsletter on your author profile page. This allows readers to join your newsletter at any time via your author profile page. To do this:

  1. Go to your authors.
  2. Click Edit for the author you're interested in.
  3. Scroll down the form to Newsletter Signup URL and add a link to your newsletter's signup page.
  4. Click Update.
