What is the difference between a public and private ARC?
When you list an ARC on BookSirens, you can attain reviewers in two ways:
- By finding and inviting them yourself
- By paying us to find reviewers for you
An ARC is considered private if you only want the first option. In other words, we don't promote private ARCs. You are alone responsible for finding reviewers and sharing your BookSirens listing page with them. You can find reviewers on social media, via your mailing list, etc... and we take care of the ARC distribution. If you're interested in this approach, see the DIY Plan.
An ARC is considered public if you wish to utilize both options to attain reviewers. In addition to being able to invite reviewers yourself, we will promote your ARC in our weekly newsletter emails, catalog search results, group promotions, etc... If you're interested in this approach, see our Promote Plan and Author Plan.
