Readers are posting their review on other platforms, but not on Amazon. Why?
The most common reason for this is you have set multiple preferred review destinations for your book. To check the destinations you've selected:
- Go to your books
- Click Edit next to the book you're interested in
- Click the Readers tab
- Scroll down to where it says Review Destination
When you select multiple review destinations, you instruct our system to show your book to readers who can post on at least one of those destinations. Many readers are not eligible to post reviews on Amazon but are eligible to post reviews on one of the other destinations you have selected. If you want to specifically optimize for Amazon reviews, we recommend setting you preferred review destinations to only Amazon. Then, moving forward we will only show your book to readers whom we believe can post reviews on Amazon. This will be a smaller pool of readers but your chances of getting an Amazon review will increase. It is a trade off.
