Where are the reviews posted?
You can decide whether you want reviews to be posted on:
- Amazon
- Goodreads
- BookBub
- Barnes & Noble
- Kobo
- Google Play
- Apple Books
If you choose multiple sites, the reader has the luxury of choosing which site they want to post their review on. It does not mean that the reader will post to all selected sites. So if you want to specifically optimize for Amazon reviews, we recommend choosing Amazon.
Readers will see your desired review destination before they decide to download your book. This ensures that only readers who can post a review on at least one of your desired platforms are likely to download your book.
Sometimes a reader will also cross post the review on their book blog and social media channels.
Not every reader who downloads your book may leave a review (or leave a review at your desired destination). Read this to learn about the review rate you can expect.
To set your preferred review destination, go to your books. Then:
- Click Edit next to the book you want to update.
- Click the Readers tab.
- You may see two tabs: Readers We Find and Readers You Invite. Make sure you select the one you wish to change as they're completely independent. If you don't see these two tabs, ignore this step.
- Scroll down to where it says Review Destination and tick the desired sites.
- Click Update at the end of the form to save your changes.
Note that any changes to your preferred review destination will only affect future readers.
