Can I try out BookSirens before committing to the Author Plan?
Yes. You can promote your first ARC under the Promote Plan. If, after that you decide to switch to the Author Plan, we'll discount the yearly fee by the amount you already spent promoting your first ARC.
Scenario # 1
Say you're considering the Author Plan for your Dorothy Gale pen name. You promote your first ARC by Dorothy Gale via the Promote Plan.
After spending $40, you decide you want to upgrade to the Author Plan. Your cost to upgrade will be $60 ($100 minus the $40 you already spent).
Scenario # 2
Say you're considering the Author Plan for your Dorothy Gale pen name. You promote your first ARC by Dorothy Gale via the Promote Plan.
Your expenditure hits $100. We'll automatically upgrade you to the Author Plan and you won't incur any further charges under this pen name for the rest of the year.
Once you're on the Author Plan, you can promote unlimited ARCs under that pen name (and another one) for the rest of the year at no additional cost. Your already-running promotions also get automatically roped into the Author Plan.
Just note that future book submissions meet our acceptance criteria.
