How can I use both BookSirens and Kindle Unlimited / KDP Select?

Many authors benefit from using BookSirens and KU / KDP Select. Below, we share some common strategies authors employ:

BookSirens During Preorder

According to KDP guidelines, the KDP Select term begins after your book is released. You can therefore list your ARC on BookSirens until the release date and take down your listing thereafter. We recommend keeping an ARC active on BookSirens for at least 30 days prior to the release date so it gets enough eyeballs from potential ARC readers. Time your submission accordingly

Pause and Resume

You can pause your listing when the KDP Select term begins and resume it when the KDP Select term ends. While your listing is paused, no new readers can join your book's review team. For the best results on BookSirens, we recommend keeping your listing active on BookSirens for at least 30 days prior to pausing it.

Overlap with Precautions

You can keep your listing active on BookSirens during it's KDP Select term. Thousands of authors have used BookSirens in this way and we haven't received any complaints so far. That being said, we cannot predict the future and we recommend you take this approach at your own risk. Since KDP Select is an Amazon specific program, we also suggest contacting Amazon support to clarify their guidelines.

To better adhere to Amazon's guidelines, we take some extra precautions while listing your book if it is also enrolled in KDP Select. We ensure your book does NOT appear in the public domain on BookSirens. For example, your BookSirens book page will not appear in search engines like Google, Yahoo, etc... Furthermore, even if someone clicks on your book cover, they would need to register and login before they can access your book page.

Make sure you tell us when your book's KDP Select term starts by following these steps, so we can put these measures into place.
